Technical Internships
All interns take weekly seminars as part of the program, as well as go on a field trip to New York City provided by Premiere stages. Weekly check-ins with the Education & Play Festival Manager offer individualized attention toward personal goals and career planning.
All technical interns may serve as backstage crew for productions, and will assist with load-in and participate in a strike.
Production

Interns work primarily in the scene shop, assisting with build, load-in, and strike of all scenic elements, but also gain experience in all areas of production. Strong candidates typically have a background in carpentry and/or electrics, costumes or props, but are not required to have training in all disciplines. Production interns may work as run crew for performances and have the potential of working as liaison to the Technical Director between the scene shop and run crew.
Stage Management

Intern works closely with and assists the Equity Stage Manager with the set up and running of rehearsals, tech, and performances. Strong candidates will have prior stage management and/or production assistant experience. Stage Management Intern will work on run crew during performances, typically on deck backstage.
